gate speakers-and-speaking three tongue words
The words of tongue should have three gate keepers.
enemies judge man reputation
Judge a man by the reputation of his enemies
conceal friend friends-or-friendship
Do not tell a friend anything you would conceal from an enemy.
chameleon leave sure tree until
A chameleon does not leave one tree until he is sure of another
hasty meet
The hasty and the tardy meet at the ferry
beware censure flatters unjustly
Beware of one who flatters unduly; he will also censure unjustly
fruit gain loss neither nor timidity
The fruit of timidity is neither gain nor loss
breed good horse saddle
A horse of good breed is not dishonored by his saddle
dress eat others thou whatever
Eat whatever thou likest, but dress as others do
promise rain
A promise is a cloud; fulfillment is rain
beauty blind country
The one-eyed person is a beauty in the country of the blind
wealth wise worth
A wise man's day is worth a fool's life.
