The thing I am most proud of is what we accomplished my senior year. We had lost 11 seniors and everybody was saying we weren't going to have anything. But we came back and made it all the way to the finals.

One of the scouts from Arkansas A&M came to the game and gave Clay $10. He didn't give me any money, so I got mad. So I ended up going to Southern.

Clay was going to leave, but I talking him into staying and going to Bonita with me.

Henry Dyer went to the Rams and got either a five or 10 thousand dollar signing bonus. Buck was drafted by the Texans and go a new car.

Love made the team, but James and I saw we weren't going to get a uniform. We didn't see the need in sitting the bench our senior year, so we became their No. 1 fans. We didn't have cars back then, so we would thumb rides to the away games.
