It came down really to a question of logistics. Having our coach and our training facility here in Michigan, this just made much more sense.

We really looked up to Jamie and Justin, because they paved the way for us as the up-and-coming U.S. team. It's an unbelievable accomplishment for Jamie to come back.

Well, Chicago's a great town; what can I say? It has a lot of diversity. You can find so many different kinds of people there. It breeds a certain self-confidence and a willingness to work hard for what you want. I don't know, maybe they put something in the water -- the river is green.

We were much looser. I love the Latin dance, it's my favorite program and to skate like that was fantastic.

It doesn't seem like very long ago that we were the new kids on the block, and really tried to claw our way up from the rear of the pack, so it's a very exciting feeling for us to come in and be as confident as we are.

We always try to keep our mind-set on only the things we can control in our performance.

We knew there were seven or eight teams with a chance of making the podium, and the new system allows for unpredictability. I feel this medal belongs to a lot of people who built the sport in the U.S. and weren't able to break through.

We felt like we skated pretty well and we got good marks. And we're looking forward to better performances on Sunday (original dance) and Monday (free dance).

We weren't sure that we were even going to be here. To now be here and have a medal around our neck, it's amazing.

This whole season we really had our sights set on the world championships because we didn't think we would be able to be here. They were our main goal, and we're looking forward to improving our skates and moving up the ranks even further.

Since we've gotten back, a lot of kids have come to the rink. It's really special to feel that we may be helping to inspire future skaters and future champions.
