The enemy is subtle, how be it we are so deceived, when truth's in our hearts and we still don't believe.
If I lived my life by what others were thinkin', the heart inside me would've died.
Broken bottles, broken plates, broken switches, broken gates. Broken dishes, broken parts, streets are filled with broken hearts.
Sundown, yellow moon, I replay the past I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast
I gave her my heart but she wanted my soul...
Look at the sun sinkin' like a ship. Ain't that just like my heart, babe. When you kissed my lips?

City's just a jungle; more games to play Trapped in the heart of it, tryin' to get away I was raised in the country, I been workin' in the town I been in trouble ever since I set my suitcase down
I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin'. When she said, hey man, you crazy or somethin'?
May your heart always be joyful. May your song always be sung.
If you don't underestimate me, I won't underestimate you.
Your heart is like the ocean, mysterious and dark.
Rod's a great singer. He's got a great voice, but there's no point to put a 30-piece orchestra behind him. I'm not going to knock anybody's right to make a living but you can always tell if somebody's heart and soul is into something, and I didn't think Rod was into it in that way.
