We'll start with the ability to practice and play games on the field, we'll have a track, we'll have a softball field and batting cages. We feel our athletic programs are worth it, that they are a great investment for the district. We think that athletics serve a huge function. We feel they help keep kids in school, with the grade and attendance requirements we have. We know the two schools benefit from it and we understand the (financial) constraints of the district.

When you cut young programs you do more damage than good. You don't save that much, you save the coaches' salaries. I don't want to think about where we'd cut, I would rather think in the other direction.
