When you're a 12 seed, you're usually playing against a team (in the first round) that's just outside of the top 25. That makes a big difference. A lot of the teams out of the top 25 are so similar, and in the tournament, anything can happen.

I think the double-bye is an advantage/disadvantage. This is not an excuse. Saint Peter's outplayed us and they deserved to win. Our guys played hard. But we didn't seem as sharp. I don't know if the week off hurt us.
