It's always a great game between North Salem and Sprague. Chris does a great job with the fundamentals. To me, that's just the game of baseball, and Chris is a baseball guy. He respects the game, and the kids learn that through him.

Nobody panicked and everybody just stayed poised and confident and we played the game. With Brad on the hill, the kids are going to feel confident.

That's what makes our team kind of interesting. We have four-year starters. We have guys with a lot of depth in starting and experience. And then we have guys who are in their first year as a starter on varsity.

This was a great high school baseball game. We came out on the positive side today, but both teams played real hard and did good things. It was just an exciting high school baseball game.

We knew we were decent. When the kids called the meeting, it was gut check time. We became so much better. Our attitude was better and practices were better. When they got knocked down, they showed what they truly were made of. They developed a strong belief to excel. They pushed each other.
