few missed offensive power quite second several sound
We missed on a few offensive opportunities in the second as well as several power play opportunities. We could have come away with it, but we weren't quite as sound as they were.
forward goal hope hopefully known steps
You always hope that your known goal scorers play well in the big games. Hopefully she steps forward and contributes as well as many of her teammates.
advantage defense few good
We didn't take advantage of a few of our good chances. Give their goalie and defense credit.
carry collect played seem tempo
We did not play very well tonight. We were a little tentative and Quinnipiac played with a lot of tempo and a lot of pace. We didn't really carry play tonight. A lot is gauged by how well we collect passes, and we didn't seem to collect pucks tonight.
accustomed division ebb flow freshmen game hockey pace played prepared time
We should be better prepared this time around. We've got 21 freshmen that have played two-thirds of a Division I hockey season. They're more accustomed with the pace of the game and the ebb and flow of the game.
came extra game
We didn't quit. It was a dead-even game - Northeastern just came up with one extra goal.
avoid complete defensive forced games
We are not going to outscore them. We need to keep it a 2-1 game, but avoid a complete defensive mindset. There are games where we have been forced into this, though.
credit games girls light relative tunnel
We've got light at the end of the tunnel relative to the playoffs. It's a credit to the girls that they've made these two games into big games.
knowing longer momentum positive pressure puts start stay teams underdog win
We've got to start getting some positive momentum. A win is very important for us and the positive momentum will snowball. And the longer we stay in games, the more pressure it puts on other teams knowing that the underdog is still competing.
crowd everybody fans help knowing noise people playing rink
We can get 300-400 people here in Walter Brown. Knowing the bounces, playing in our own rink and the crowd noise from the fans help everybody play better.
content effort excellent overall remained
We all remained very content with our overall effort. It was an excellent first season, and I am very appreciative of the effort put in by all of the players.
easier extra motivation next opponents time
We want opponents to know we are going to put up a fight. Unfortunately, we made it a little easier for Maine. We should have extra motivation the next time out.
