I admired our effort, but our execution wasn't great. We were a step behind all night.

I really think they are the best team in the tournament. I know Mascoutah beat them last night, but their five starters are good. I told our team they are a better team. If we play good and they play good, they're going to beat us. We needed them to be off a little bit and they weren't.

That's big in a situation and game like this. Fortunately, we got the ball in the right hands of our good free-throw shooters and they knocked them down.

We're a tweak here and a tweak there from really being in trouble.

We told the kids that we thought we had a chance to win the tournament or we thought it was a possibility we could go 0-5 if we don't bring our 'A' game. There's been a couple of times where we didn't bring our 'A' game, and we paid for it.
