awful far gone
We're awful right now. And we know it. This has gone on far too long.
bullpen everywhere good position
We're in pretty good shape, everywhere from the bullpen to the position players. This is how you want to be at this stage.
appreciate catcher everybody fame game gives great guy hall knows lifetime power run smart talking though watch
We're talking about a guy who's going into the Hall of Fame. He's got great presence, and what he's accomplished in the game is pretty remarkable, especially being a catcher. It's amazing, everybody knows about his power but this guy is a lifetime .300 hitter. He's a smart hitter, and what you appreciate when you watch Mike, even though he's a catcher and can't run like (Mike) Cameron, he's full-bore all the time. I mean, he gives you everything on the field.
found glad happened question serious time
There is no question Doug was a time bomb. More than anything, I'm glad we found this before anything serious happened on the field.
ball coming great inspiring job ninth playing
Wow. He's doing a great job of coming through for us, of clutching up. He's playing some great ball. That play in the ninth was huge. He's playing inspiring ball right now.
good terrific though woody
Woody was great, ... He did a terrific job. He was getting up there in pitches. He had good command, even though he logged some pitches. He was just missing.
ball luck threw tough woody
Woody threw the ball well, just had some tough luck in the (two-run) first inning.
stuff
Woody's stuff is much better. He is really focused.
pitching talk woody
Woody has been pitching better than Brian. We'll talk about it.
track
We have to get on track with our pitching, and we think we will.
decisions staff together
We have some decisions to make, and we need to get the staff together and talk.
appreciation bases consider military ourselves san sunday teams troops
We have so many military here. This is our way to show our appreciation to our forces. We like to consider ourselves as the military's teams with all the bases we have in San Diego. It's an honor. Every Sunday we have the troops out at the ballpark. This is something we do with honor.
baseball concerned dwell left
You don't like being 3-7. But we have too much baseball left to dwell on it or be concerned about it.
adam bat expect guy hope last limit played speed throwing year
I expect to see the same guy I did last year. I hope they'll limit him to 30 or 40 games. That first at-bat off Adam Eaton last year was very impressive. The guy hadn't played all year and Eaton was throwing 93-94 and he doubled off the wall. That bat speed is always there.
