This has gone on quite a while now. It's probably the longest one I've seen a club go through. Hopefully, when we come out of it, we'll come out if it for a long time, too.

It does give Kevin (Towers) a lot more flexibility. These aren't long-term deals, but they're good players. When you sign veteran players, (it means) you don't have someone in your system who's able to fill that void. Some of the catchers we think a lot of aren't quite ready.

I expect to see the same guy I did last year. I hope they'll limit him to 30 or 40 games. That first at-bat off Adam Eaton last year was very impressive. The guy hadn't played all year and Eaton was throwing 93-94 and he doubled off the wall. That bat speed is always there.
