Finally getting that call saying I was on the team? Needless to say I was very happy. This is my hometown. Then, the next day, my dreams came crashing down. I understand that this is a business and you can't take stuff personally, but it was a very, very tough time.

I don't want to look at this as an opportunity. My heart goes out to Correll. It's a game, and we do have to keep the ship moving. But at the same time, you don't want to lose somebody like that.

Of course, this is important to me. You always want to go out and perform. I can't treat it like it's too big, though. If I put too much relevance on it, you get antsy, you get tight. I don't want to do that. I have to treat it like the rest of the games we've had.

I don't want to be too anxious about it. I did what I could. I thought I had a pretty good camp, period. And I guess coming out and having a good game in the last preseason game could help.

I'm a competitor, and it's hard if you're not playing. But I can't worry about that right now. I just need to keep working hard, and if I do that, I'm confident I'll get another opportunity.
