I would never attach myself to a brand that doesn't represent me.
I love going to work, doing acting. I love when I'm done with a movie or a TV show. I love hitting the road or being in the studio or going on tour. That's what I get off on. I don't need to have my business in the press and all that stuff. I'm pretty low key. It's all about the work for me.
If a fan comes up and it is a middle-aged lady, it is probably from 'Prime'; if it is a younger girl, it is probably from when I guest-starred on 'One Tree Hill.' And if it is, like, a skateboard kid or a hipster kid, I can tell they are 'How to Make It' fans.
I have no interest in being famous for the sake of being famous.
My dad is from Queens. I remember visiting as a kid. My grandparents grew up here. All the actors I respected were coming out of here. All the hip-hop I was listening to - Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Biggie, Wu Tang - was coming out of New York. I'm just into it.
I have to be honest, I dont pay as much attention to womens fashion, but being a sneaker head, I do like it when a girl can rock a nice pair of sneakers. Not every girl can do it. Every girl looks good in heels - thats a given - but not every girl can look good in fresh kicks.
I want to play challenging characters. You should never be satisfied.
I get to dress how I want, but sometimes I gotta wear different hats.
There are so many girls out there that I don't have to work with and who aren't married or have boyfriends. There's plenty of people out there, so you don't have to mix work and pleasure. It gets muddy.
I love to write music. I love melodies, I love playing guitar. I just do it for fun.
