Robert Bower "Buzz" Peterson, Jr.is an American college basketball coach. Most recently, Peterson was the head coach of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team. He was fired by UNC Wilmington at the conclusion of the 2014 season. Peterson was the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers basketball team for four years before being fired in 2005. The rule has been in there. I took Tennessee a few years ago to the Dominican Republic. They have tried to do away with it, but it didn't go through.

I want all of my assistants to have the drive and the goal to be head coaches. We've been together since 1990. ... It's his decision if he was offered. He hasn't even gotten the call, but he's someone they'd have to look at.

Sometimes you need a different face. It just wipes the slate clean and they feel better about themselves.

You see it in the young kids. They seem a little bit tight on the road and they're more relaxed at home. I've tried everything and I've talked to so many people. It will come, but only by playing defense and rebounding.

So to say he pushed for it probably isn't fair. But I think he probably could have stopped it and didn't.

That game, I know it helped us beat Winthrop. I think there was a motivation there. You could see it in their eyes that they were determined to be better than the letdown of losing that game.
