We're excited. We bring in another athlete, a 7-foot athlete, 24 years old who runs and jumps and does a lot of the things that we want here. I think he'll fit in extremely well.

We're just not a very good basketball team right now. To me, we have a lot of glaring holes on both ends of the floor. The biggest thing is that we're so weak mentally.

Just the fact that all of those guys had a chance to be here for a few days and get around the city and see some of the devastation that Katrina left made them feel a little guilty. I think the guys felt a little guilty after the last game that they had to come in and give a better effort.

I thought our effort was much better. Defensively we're just having way too many lapses. Guys aren't communicating out there and talking to each other. You give up (52) points in the paint, you're not going to win too many games.

Hopefully Saturday we'll be pretty much full strength. We'll have some bumps and bruises. Those guys won't be at 100 percent probably, but they'll be in uniform and ready to play.

There'll be an adjustment for Steven because this is an offense that he hasn't done. But again, once we get him in, we'll go over it every single day with him just to try to get him as comfortable as possible. ... I don't think it'll take him real long because one thing that we do a lot of is repetition on our offense.
