broken lap shock
We had a broken right-front shock (absorber) from Lap 50 or something and it was all I could do to get it into the corner,
chance fact fairly meeting seemed
The fact that they were so unforthcoming at the meeting made me feel like no one would have a chance to fairly participate. It seemed like a done deal.
changes help learned sleep track winning
We learned a lot about how the track changes today, and some other things that should help us tomorrow. I just know, after winning today, I'm going to sleep well tonight.
car destroying kept tight
To make it into the top-10 was OK, ... We had a better car that that. We were just too tight and we kept destroying the tires.
four guys happen trade
You know there's only four guys I'd trade with right now in the garage, points-position wise. So, I think we're doing OK. We'll make something happen here.
sure today
Today was pretty ugly. I'm not sure what was going on.
changes mess ok
We just didn't want to make too many changes and mess anything up too much, ... We'll be OK for the race.
expects front guys hopefully including looking nobody takes unique worrying
We're kind of in a unique position. Nobody expects us to be here, including ourselves. We don't have pressure. And all it takes is one or two slip-ups from the guys in front of us, and we'll be right there. Hopefully they're looking back and worrying about us. I don't know if they are, but we feel like we've got a shot.
deal tough
We still have to deal with two really tough races,
foot
Was it really like a foot or something? ... I thought it was a little more than that, so that makes me more grateful.
chevy daytona disney noticed run win
Yeah, I noticed that the Disney thing over there at the Daytona 500 (at Daytona USA) is a Chevy. They win a lot here. Chevy has run really well.
breaks caution felt fresh good great jeff lucky race racing sitting telling win
We felt like if everything went well and we got some lucky breaks and a caution at the end that we would be sitting good at the end of the race on fresh tires. I am telling you what the big win for the day was that we had a lot of fun. Racing with Jeff Burton and Greg Biffle that was great fun.
accomplish extra goal good percent pressure reason win
We've accomplished every goal we wanted to accomplish already, so I don't see any reason to put extra pressure on ourselves. If we just go out, have a good time, give it 100 percent effort, try to win these races, never look back, that's all we can do.
bad beginning bob bristol certainly chances confident crew entire fighting finish good happen heads held hurt increased kept runs solid starting string strong team together year
We started out strong at the beginning of this year then went on a string of bad runs starting with Infineon. That really hurt us in the points. But Bob (Osborne, crew chief) and the entire team held their heads up and kept fighting and together we got back into the 'Chase'. Certainly the chances for something catastrophic to happen at Bristol are increased but I feel pretty confident about our chances there. If we can come away with a solid finish there, I think we have a good chance at making the 'Chase'.
