Carl Michael Edwards IIis an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, driving the No. 19 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. I talked to Brad at pretty great length last night. Brad and I have never had a cross word. I was over at his house with the whole crew the other night. I believe it was just differing opinions over the best way to do things at the shop.

I'm really excited about getting my 50th start. I read that the other day, and I can't believe that I will have driven 50 Nextel Cup races; I didn't ever think I'd get to drive one. It's just awesome and it means the world to me. I am really glad to be a part of the sport at this level. Hopefully, there is another zero after that start number before I quit.

Atlanta Motor Speedway couldn't come at a better time for our team. We've run three races so far and we've run terribly at two of them. We need Atlanta. We need to come here and run well.

Right now we're fifth in points and the next four tracks are tracks that I like, so I'm looking forward to running up front and doing everything I can to try and win this championship.

I went with them to the bank that day, ... and my parents were stressed out. They went in there and came out with an envelope and all the money. My brother went and bought a Silver Crown car. He had no clue if he was even capable of driving it.
