acquire cooperation desperate draft hopefully left matt sure veteran
Matt has between now and the draft to see if he can to get something done. It will take the cooperation of the agent. ... We're not in a desperate need for a quarterback. I've got a very veteran quarterback that I think has got at least two and hopefully more years left in Trent Green. ... But if it makes sense -- and I'm not sure what that is yet -- to try to acquire his services, fine.

After Priest sustained a hip injury in 2002 and a knee injury last season, there were numerous individuals who speculated that those injuries were career threatening,
decision needs player prepare
It's not Priest's decision to make. Our player needs to prepare for the game, and you can't be in there with him.
anyone camp faster gotten training watches
It's a long season, ... You could see in training camp that there were spurts of this possibility happening. I think that anyone that watches us can see that we've gotten faster on defense, which is always key.

I asked Dick if they'd asked him if he was interested in the (Redskins) job, ... Dick said they did, and then he said, 'But I couldn't work for a guy like Dan Snyder.'

There was one guy out there with a football after a Saturday walk-through and it was Priest, ... He's practicing scoring a touchdown, catching the football, turning and running to the pylon in slow motion. The next game he catches a pass, runs to the pylon and I say to myself, 'I've seen this play before.'
began chiefs days decline defense division extremely franchise grown iii injury lost mike ncaa nfl player prolific season since single starting
Mike Maslowski has been an extremely important player for this franchise since '99. He has grown with the Chiefs from his days as an NCAA Division III player, through NFL Europe, to starting linebacker and the most prolific tackler in a single season for this team. I don't think it's a coincidence that our defense began to decline when we lost Mike to injury in 2003.

Willie Roaf is 320 pounds, ... but he's as light on his feet as anyone I know.
absence again anticipate attend believe conduct continue contribute correct despite easy entire expect football fully johnson kansas larry last meetings perform priest running success
We fully expect that Larry Johnson will once again perform admirably in place of Priest, much like he did at the end of last season. Priest will continue to attend meetings and conduct his rehabilitation here in Kansas City. We fully anticipate that despite his absence on the field, Priest will continue to contribute to the success of Larry and our other running backs, as well as our entire football team. These are never easy decisions, but we believe this is the correct one for Priest at this time.
city creates expect friday kansas league noon orders practice problems saturday squeeze suggestion trying
The other suggestion was to play in Kansas City at noon Sunday, ... We don't expect any hurricanes here. That was considered, but the league made its decision. It creates some real problems for us with travel, and with trying to squeeze a Thursday, Friday and Saturday practice all into Thursday. But we have to do what the league orders us to do.
