I talk to Julius every day. He's just got to be patient. George is going to get on him a lot, but it's for the best. He only wants him to get better. I try to talk to him and tell him to fight through it.
Just trying to support him in any way we can.
I saw the double team coming, I tried to beat it and go faster.
Earl came through big for us. He came out of his ... I don't want to call it a slump, but he came out of his shell tonight.
Having three, four power forwards out there on our team, being so deep at that position, at this point, it really doesn't matter.
I can't even remember. To me, it's just going to be like practice. . . . I don't even look at it as trying out.
Everybody knows what he's capable of doing. Just getting him back, that is something we've been missing the last couple of weeks. Getting him back should be big.
If I still had stuff on my mind, off-the-court issues, I probably wouldn't be able to come out onto the court and do what I'm doing now.
Regardless of who they sent at me, I was going to the hole. We won the game, that's the only thing I'm happy about.
(The loss) was a wake-up call for us. We can't take nothing for granted right now. These last 10 games, I think you'll see a better focus from the team.
I didn't get hit in my nose, more around my eye, and across the bridge of my nose. I didn't feel it in my nose, I felt it in my forehead.
Every time we play San Antonio, it's always going to be tough. They send two or three people at me. . . . I knew my shot wasn't going down from the outside. I just tried to keep going to the hole and get some fouls.
Now we don't have to put too much pressure on ourselves. It was good to come on the road and get this win. I don't think anybody predicted where we'd be where we are right now in three years. This is one of the stages we've been trying to get to. Now that we're here, we want to move forward and win a playoff series.
Now I do. I never really listened to them (before). Just seeing their merchandise and listening to them here and there (has given him an appreciation).
