asset calming good huge individual race
Robbie has been a huge asset to me more so than anything else with the race car. He's a very calming individual and he has a good sense about him and he has been through a championship chase.
happy race races team tracks winning
Just because I wasn't at those race tracks doesn't take anything away from what we've been doing. When I wasn't here, I was just as happy for this team winning races as I was today.
five goal maintain points position races running sure top turn
My goal is to maintain a top 10 position in the points through the first 13 races. From that point on, I want to make sure we are running in the top five. I want to end the first 26 races in the top five in points, and then go into the Chase. Once there, we can turn it on.
below couple cures drivers inflation maybe minimum people race safe sure tire walk
Maybe there were some people below minimum inflation tonight. If they were, and they had a tire issue, it cures itself. You're only going to go out there a couple of times and have a problem. They do what they do to make sure we have a safe and competitive race and that the drivers are able to walk away.
cars drivers drives feedback gives goes knowing race shows
Drivers don't know what' going in these race cars, ever. Jimmie isn't really into knowing what is going on with the race cars. He shows up and drives and gives his feedback and goes home.
committed team winning
Jimmie and I have never been more committed to each other, to the team and to winning a championship than we are right now.
deal
Man, it was tough. But it is what I had to deal with.
chief contribute crew dressed guy nowadays performance setting sure truly watching
The crew chief nowadays ... it's not just setting up the car. It's watching the guys, making sure they're all doing it, making sure this guy is dressed right and he's clean-shaven and all that kind of stuff, all those little things that truly contribute to the performance of the team.
game knew painful start stuck time
We stuck to our game plan, even when it was painful at times. We wanted to go test, we just knew it wasn't time to start that just yet.
longevity places stay whatever win
We've got longevity to stay here and do whatever it is we need to do to win the championship. That's something a lot of places don't have.
nascar like-you
Drive it like you stole it, homie.
racing industry right-now
The racing that we've got in our industry right now is the best racing in the worldperiod.
team people leader
You get a team that goes out there and they find a little bit of something that advantage is going to seem larger then it is if the rules were not as tight because it's harder for other people to find whatever that advantage may be. I'm not saying points leader Tony Stewart has a huge advantage. What they've got is that they are hitting everything exactly right. When they have everything working just right, that's how it shows to be dominant.
celebrate i-can ifs
I can assure you, if we pull this off, we'll all be celebrating just like we always do.
