concentration early good sluggish work
I thought the concentration was good today, ... It was a little sluggish early when it was hot, and that's something we've got to work through.
game knew major pass phases running second sort work
We've got to get better in some phases of our running game, get better in some phases of our pass defense, ... Other than that, I sort of knew where we were. I had a feel for where we were before the first game, after the first game, before the second game and after the second game. No major surprises, no revelations, just little things that you work on.
chambers chris guys worked
We've worked Chris in there and (sophomore) Travis Chambers in there. We've got some other guys that we've worked as emergency-type guys.
fancy ready spent time ton unusual worked
They didn't do anything fancy or unusual that we haven't worked on, but when you play them, you have to get ready for a ton of stuff. When you haven't spent a ton of time on something, sometimes they get you, and they got us good.
line maybe next offensive pressure push work
Our offensive line is pretty young. We did not feel like it was imperative. We'll make a push for some next year, maybe one or two. I don't feel any pressure right now and I think we'll have to look and see what we have numbers-wise to work with next year.
full last obviously process saw sure time work
He's obviously a little better than the last time I saw him, ... We'll work him back slowly. We're not going to take any chances. We'll have to make sure he understands the process to get him back to full speed. If he practices, he'll want to take every snap.
intensity looking perfect work
The intensity was good. We've got a lot of work to do, but the intensity was there, and that's what you're looking for on the first day (in pads). You'd like perfect execution, but you'll take intensity on the first day.
defense finding good job realize work
He was finding the creases in the defense and (Brett) Ratliff was doing a good job of getting him the ball. If you're a competitor, it makes you mad. It makes you realize how much work you've got to do to get where you want to be.
body field gets hot incite repeat sure symptoms traumatic wait
I think we'll have to wait and see how he does on the field, ... If he gets hot and sweaty, do the symptoms come back? His body has been through a pretty traumatic thing. You've got to make sure you don't incite a repeat of that.
felt great help looking reach saw somewhere
I think we saw potential. I think it was the person and the potential. I felt the desire. He wanted to be a great quarterback. He was looking for somewhere to help him reach that goal.
everybody happen nobody realized
I think it was the right thing to do, obviously. It was something nobody wanted to happen but everybody probably realized had to happen. You can't take that chance.
booth challenge coaches guy waste whether
I think this is the right way. In my opinion, coaches don't get to see replays in the booth, so we don't know whether to waste a challenge or not. That guy in the booth has to make a decision. He's just like a referee. I like the way it works.
excited interested line mentally ready
I think they will mentally and emotionally be ready to line up and play. I'll be interested to see how they'll play. I'm excited to see how they'll play.
level tells
I think that tells you about the level of play in our conference.
