I like my chances, because I know how competitive I am. I love match play. It's going to be hard to play somebody as competitive as me. There might be guys better than me, but as far as as never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think too many guys have that.

Courses are not getting any shorter. I could not hit the ball an average of 279, 280 (yards) and compete out here still. I needed to get eight to 10 more yards somehow. It makes a big difference.

This is a good win for Phil. This is great for his confidence. He might go 5-0 now, which is what we're going to need. We jell really good together. He calms me down a lot and keeps me focused on the shots I need to make. I can't tell you how much it helps to have Phil Mickelson next to you in the fairway.

The one thing he has that nobody else has -- maybe Nicklaus had this a little bit, too -- is the uncanny ability to win by whatever he needs to win by. If nobody is doing anything, then he won't do anything. He'll just kind of plug along. But if guys are making birdies, then he'll try to make birdies. That's what's amazing about him. If he needs 73 to win, he'll shoot 73. If somebody shoots 64, he'll shoot 65 to win by a shot.
