Chuck Hartmanwas the head baseball coach at Virginia Tech from 1979 until 2006. He completed his 47-year coaching career as the fourth winningests coach in Division I baseball history with a 1,444-816-8 record, including a 961-591-8 mark in his 28 seasons at Tech. Coach Hartman is the second Virginia Tech baseball coach to be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004. We finally took the lead and then Randy goes out and what do we do? We walk one and we hit one. Right then is when you gotta go out and get them three up-three down and get the momentum. But we flipped it and they end up scoring three runs and they go back up on us.
