We hope to have a good idea of where the county needs future infrastructure after we finish this plan. I don't expect many changes in the update but these meetings will help us determine that.

We're looking for input from the public on our thoroughfare plan. We're consolidating each city's plan with ours and then using data and information from the Texas Department of Transportation to create traffic models for county roads.

We're here today to hear any final protests to these final 31 roads. The commissioners are not here to take any action, only hear any complaints. You then have 90 days to accept the final roadmap for the county.
future include master might overall plan plans region roads
This plan and the other counties' plans will become a part of the overall master plan for the region. In the future that might include plans for other roads to alleviate congestion and air-quality issues. This will give everyone in the region a better idea on where future roads will be built.

We're doing the official county road map and this is the second phase. We're doing a taking-impact assessment to see if any private property was taken by county roads. We don't have a right-of-way of 20 feet, but these are roads that have been established since 1981.
