It simply began out of the feeling that something needed to be done. We didn't feel that she was getting a fair shake, and wanted to make sure that the administration knew that students were paying attention to what was going on.

Obviously you can't know what the administration is thinking. But we have raised the awareness on campus and have informed a lot of students about it. I guess my feeling is that if we can just raise the awareness among the student body and we can point that out to those making the decisions, then we're on the right path.

The whole sit-in was organized in less than three days. We knew that the final decision was going to be made soon, so we had to act quickly if we wanted our voices to be heard.
