decisions deep fact good leads squad talked tough week
There's going to be a lot of tough decisions. We've talked about the fact that we have a good squad of players; it's pretty deep and that leads to a lot of tough decisions week in and week out.
everybody game impact played plenty time
It was an end-to-end game with plenty of chances. The humidity probably had a little impact on everybody -- the first time everyone has played in that kind of weather.
field home knew lift ourselves reason result results spirit starting took
The spirit has always been pretty good. We always had belief, we just weren't getting any results because of some little things, ... There wasn't any one reason that things weren't going right so we knew that once we got the first result that things would lift off. This is our home, our home field and it took a while to give it ourselves a home-field advantage, but we're starting to do that.
again freedom gives good middle outside playing ronnie switch
Ronnie started in the middle but he has freedom to roam. With Ramon playing outside of him, and with Ramon being comfortable outside or inside, it's good that they can switch and that again gives us good flexibility.
ball bit couple final gone good half minutes second slow spots third
Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. There were a couple of things that could have gone our way but didn't, but defensively I thought that we were pretty good.
adjust decisions difficult direct effect field goal pushed three
They had three in the back so we pushed three up front. They had to make some difficult decisions and adjust to what we were doing. I wouldn't say that it had a direct effect on the goal but (Cooper) was on the field at the right time.
concerned deep depth far squad tough
We have a very, very deep squad the whole way through. You never have enough depth as far as I'm concerned it just makes for a lot of tough decisions.
boys came earn few knew survive
I knew when the first one came it wasn't going to be easy. It was never going to be a three- or four-goal cakewalk - we knew we were going to have to earn it and survive a few moments. But I thought the boys were magnificent - unbelievable tonight.
boys complain credit final game goal goes main playoff style
Can't complain about anybody, ... You get to the final and you're narrowly beaten. A lot of credit goes to my boys for getting here. This was a one-off, playoff style game and we had a lot of 20-year-olds out there. The main goal is the MLS Cup.
enterprise exchange recovering vault
Before we installed Enterprise Vault in 2002, housekeeping in Exchange 5.5 was a nightmare. Recovering old e-mail was impossible.
changed
I don't know if it was offside. It changed the game.
boost few gave happy week worked
(I didn't know until) this morning. We were happy to have him back; he gave us a boost and a lift. We worked on a few different things during the week but having him was only a positive.
rather
I'd rather go to their place with the advantage.
carried club decision difficult eddie faith grown hard head mature national nearly player seen team time win
It's probably the most difficult decision I've had to make in the time I've been the head coach. I'd come to this club around about the same time Eddie was drafted. He's grown up here while I've been here, and, you know, I put a lot of faith in him two years ago and he carried our team nearly all the way to the playoffs. I've seen him mature and get better as a player and win national team honors, so, yes, that was a very hard to let Eddie go.
