(Thompson) is a sophomore who's been pretty dominant in every game and he's really going to be good the next couple of years. That'll make you struggle offensively. Our kids were a lot more disciplined at the plate as the game went on.

We toughened our schedule up to be better prepared for the district run and it so happened that the kids responded to the challenge.
