calm chance
I can go, but this is a chance to let it calm down.
fight hardest
This was, by far, the hardest for all of us. We had to fight through so many things.
believe career guys moved point ready save toward wherever
You look at guys toward the end of their career that have moved to first to, they say, save on their legs, ... I'm not at that point where I'm ready to throttle back the way I play. I believe you get out what you put into it. Wherever you're at, you can make an impact.
gone good playing tough
We've gone through tough times and good times and we always take the same attitude, to just keep working and playing our game.
city
What day is this? What city are we in.
ask foot whatever
We really don't care. We got our foot in the door, and that's all you ask for. Whatever happens, happens.
people seen
When people say they've seen it all, they haven't seen it all.
create
No, I don't want this to feel like 2002, ... I want to create new memories. This is a new team. We are doing it a new way.
pitchers playing
Only our pitchers have been playing well. We've been scratching and clawing for runs. We'll find a way to get it done any way we can, but we've been inconsistently offensively.
bonds guys understand
I understand it, but it doesn't make it any easier. I've been through a lot with these guys and the bonds are pretty strong.
worth
It was a long day, but well worth it. It was really good. It was great.
care less run
Run scores, we win. I could care less about that stuff.
born face kidding
Are you kidding me? He's the face of the Angels. That would be awesome. If he's healthy, you know what you're going to get. The guy's a born hitter.
guy home meet mind plate round watched
I've watched it so many times and I've rerun it in my head. I just made a decision. It's instinct. As I round third, I see that the cutoff guy has the ball, so I look at home and the first thing I see is Johnny's legs. And I see the plate between his legs. In your mind you see that and you think, I just want to meet him.
