I thought it was a great pep talk. I wanted to hug him.
I'm as worked up and excited for this game as I can possibly be. But I know I'm not nearly as worked up as the coaching staff. This is a tremendous match, and I think everyone agrees it's the two best teams.
I don't even know how to go about that. Those best teams of all time will never play each other. That's the way to decide who's best. It's about the only way I know.
I feel like this hurts us and works to the advantage of Notre Dame, ... I think our problem for our fans, is to keep their feet on the ground. Like the old saying, 'A little perfume doesn't hurt you if you don't drink it.'
