defensive honest kid looking played position prepared schools tape watched
Most of the schools are pretty honest and will tell you they haven't watched the tape or they have and aren't prepared to offer. Sometimes they will tell you they're stocked at that position but they're looking at a kid as a defensive back, even if he hasn't played that position, because he's an athlete.
coaches confidence defense defensive healed job key kids rolling
We did what we had to do. We were rolling kids in and out of there. Getting our defense healed up is going to be key this week. But I have confidence in our defensive coaches to get the job done.
giving kids outside played tired
They were giving us Brent on the outside zone. I think we got them tired and our kids really played well.
gave kids overall plays positive pressure time
We're a pressure team. We're going to give up some big plays at time but overall ... we gave up some big plays but the kids responded usually with something positive right after that.
dog football gave good job kids line offensive physical running stuck
Our offensive line really showed up. Our kids were physical and we did a good job of running the football. Alma gave us some things out of our Dog formation. That's what we stuck with and it worked.
care college degree feeling football further help kids knowing options seeing successful
We care about the kids and we want them to have opportunities and options to further their careers. And there's not a better feeling out there than seeing a kid 10 years from now successful with a college degree and knowing he used football to help him get it.
ability athletic fool gets kid name ourselves thinking
We feel it's just part of our job. We're not going to fool ourselves into thinking we can get a kid a scholarship because we can't; a kid's athletic ability gets him a scholarship. What we can do is get his name out there and get him noticed.
dropping fun good remember somebody
I thought our receivers did a good job. I don't remember us dropping too many passes. It was fun. It was fun to play somebody else.
clock game guys halftime looking plays run score tonight
We've got some guys who can make big plays and every game it's someone different. Tonight it was Brent Phillips. Before Phillips' big run we were looking to run the clock out before halftime and his run was huge. After that, we went for it and got a big score going into the half.
center dead guys practice three
We've got three guys that practice there and are dead even, but when you get out there on center stage, you've got to perform.
booming catch gave good guys handling job laying pine three
We've got three guys back there and we've got to catch the ball. In warm-ups, Pine Bluff's punter was booming them and we probably gave him too much distance. He was laying them in shorter and getting good rolls. We've got to do a better job of handling punts.
backs blocked call doubt executing good holding job ran run stop supposed turn work
We've got things to work on, no doubt about it, but I thought offensively, if we don't have a big holding call on (Brent Phillips') long touchdown run, if we don't turn it over, they really didn't stop us all night. We executed. We run blocked real well, our backs ran well, and our quarterbacks did a good job just executing what we were supposed to do.
arkansas best boost clinic coaches event football help improve northwest quality speakers state
We think this is the best clinic in the state of Arkansas. No clinic has as many quality speakers as we have. We want to help coaches improve and boost football in Northwest Arkansas. We want this event to be something that's around for many years and we want to make football in Northwest Arkansas some of the best not only in the state but in the nation.
ball hands kicked running team
We called timeout because the way they had the ball angled, we thought they were running an onside kick. So we got our hands team out there and then they kicked off deep.
