guy percent seems shoot shooting
They shoot it so well. It seems like every guy is shooting it 40 to 45 percent from 3. I mean, it's ridiculous.
andy athletic coach dual firm head role situation soon
Because of my dual role (as men's head coach and athletic director), I've been away from campus. I'm going to get with Andy as soon as I get back and will firm his situation up.
athletic people playing remains seen tech
It remains to be seen how many people go down the stretch, but Tech will be one of them certainly. They're very talented, athletic and deep. Obviously, they're playing well right now.
appears best blow east hit physician result sit start state tennessee took
It's a result of a hit or a blow he took in the East Tennessee State game. ... When he was examined, the physician thought it best to sit out a while and let this antibiotic really start to do its job, and it appears like it is improving.
achievement basketball excited feat good guys small team won
These guys won 17 games; that's no small feat especially as inexperienced as they were. It was an accomplishment and yet we had some disappointment. But I am excited about the future. I think we have a good basketball team brewing. I really do.
mistakes played
I thought we were going to win. ... We made some mistakes but we played awfully hard.
achieved athletes behind chuck goals people scenes work
I think the big thing about Chuck is he has done this all behind the scenes with very little fanfare. Yet all of these athletes could not have achieved any of their goals without him and the people that work for him.
basketball beginning good great hard minutes overall played side start sustain
It's hard to play any better than we did at the beginning of the game. The down side of that is you can't sustain that for 40 minutes ... you just can't. But we got off to a great start and overall played a good basketball game.
best hard leads saturday smart worrying
I think we just need to go and play as hard as we can, as smart as we can and see what washes out after the weekend. I don't think there is a lot of sense in worrying about 'what if' this, or 'what if' that. I think we just need to go out there and play the best we can (today) and play the best we can Saturday and see where that leads us.
against basketball coach competing course difficult games good happy hard high hold last level maintain playing situation stretch teams trying understand whenever win
I think as a coach, what I have to understand is that the teams we're playing against are really good and they're trying really hard too. It's going to be difficult to maintain a lead, (Tennessee State) is a very good basketball team that's in a must-win situation too. These last games are all going to be very difficult. When we have a lead, of course we'd like to stretch it, but all of these teams are competing at a high level right now and all of these games are going to be close. We're just happy to hold on and win whenever we can.
both compete compliment continue freshmen impressed learning mistake playing
I really like the way they both are competing. I think they are both playing hard, and that's a big compliment to both of them. They make a mistake now and then, but they're learning as freshmen and I'm really impressed by the way they continue to compete and play hard.
ball became guard involved job people point running shot tempo understanding year
I really became comfortable with (Wright) as our point guard this year. I think he did a much better job this year of really running our team, getting people involved and understanding the tempo ? and he shot the ball better.
