certainly chance factor fatigue great hung marty ourselves
Fatigue was certainly a factor tonight, but we hung around and got ourselves a chance to win. Marty was great tonight.
good hard stop work
There was a lot good, old-fashioned hard work out there. If you want to stop the bleeding, that's a good place to start.
bottom build clean desperate few full glass half home line needed overcome playing stuff team win
There's stuff to build on. We needed to clean up our play in a few areas, but that's a desperate team playing at home and we still were able to overcome that. The bottom line is you want to win these games, and we won. So the glass is half full right now.

They should think about this and how it feels. Games like this should leave a sour taste.
grow shows team top western
They're the top team in the Western Conference. They're the measuring stick. This shows how much we have to grow as a team.
apply knows players willing

They play a game, and you have to stay with the game. You can't deviate.
came formed goes hanging identify north people team time
This organization came in and formed its own identity. Time goes on. People identify with this team more than hanging on to the North Stars' past.
excelled good guys jump knew roles
There were a lot of guys that we put into roles where we knew they had to jump in and do a good job. They've excelled in all of them.
decisions goals poor
There were poor decisions on our part. You can't give away goals like that. Those are frustrating ones for a coach.
beaten cut defense ended giving goals hands kept night penalties played six took worst
This is the worst our defense has played all season, hands down. Giving up six goals a night just isn't going to cut it. We just kept on getting beaten and making mistakes, then the penalties we took ended up in our net.
desperate nine power team
You put a desperate team on the power play nine times in the first two periods, and you are going to get what you earn. The referees were a non-factor tonight. It was all us.
