After I played my first round, I went to see the doctor and he turned around and said that he needed to cut it out. So he got his scalpel out and started to cut away. No anaesthetic or anything and I'm watching this whole thing take place. It was quite a big hole left, but he patched it up and did a great job.

I played my round (Thursday) and the doctor turned round and said 'Right, we need to cut it out.' And I went into a little room in the clubhouse and he got his scalpel out - no anaesthetic -- and he just cut away. And actually just before I went out this morning the doctor cut away another little bit. It's quite funny that I'm on the slab just before I get on the tee!

Tee to green, I won't say I feel like I'm at my best. My putting has been nice and if I can keep that going it'll be good. You never know what's going to happen. I get a buzz leading a tournament and will try to keep it going.

I want to try and win more tournaments, so I feel like I have let this one slip a little bit to be honest. But it is still a good finish, I have to take the positives out of it. It is another top-three finish.

It was quite steady play and I made quite a few putts. It's funny because I was wondering whether I was going to play. It became quite large and quite painful. I saw the doctor on Monday and it got quite bad on Wednesday and Thursday.
