less matter pressure score team time
There's going to be a lot less pressure on Carlos this time around. That's why it doesn't matter where I hit. This team is going to score runs, period.
deal fantastic gotten huge technology
It would have been a fantastic technology if we could have gotten a deal. It would have been just a huge deal for Iowa.
core goes highest linear low math nation number second state taking utah
Surprisingly, Utah is the second highest in the nation in the number of eighth-graders taking algebra, but we are still low in achievement. Our state math core only goes through linear equations.
energy gets kicked level notch
There's just an energy level that gets kicked up a notch when Pedro pitches.
finish
Hopefully, it will kick-start me to finish strong,
carries expect giddy himself maturity poise remember seeing
I remember when I first got called up how giddy I was. Seeing him, how he just carries himself with poise and a maturity level, is phenomenal. I expect big things.
easy kindness left plate swing
I don't think he got it in as much as he wanted to. He kind of left it over the plate and I put a nice, easy swing on it.
beat carry certainly shoulders team
He's a game-changer. He can beat you so many different ways. He can certainly put a team on his shoulders and carry it.
bounce good teams
This is what good teams do: Find a way to bounce back after a loss.
carry might pressure
He'd put a lot of pressure on himself, I think. He wanted to carry us, ... He might be a little calmer now.
behind energy excitement fans forward goal looking rainbow rally surrounds
Even now, I'm looking forward to 2009. The fans will rally behind it, and there's more energy and more excitement that surrounds it. I think you have that goal at the end of the rainbow to look forward to, to get to 2009.
balls confidence confident couple early errors felt half last second start thrown work
It's a confidence thing. The second half of last year, I felt more confident and I feel more comfortable this spring. That's the big thing for me. I can work on drills and footwork all day, but if I don't feel comfortable, it's not going to matter. As a young player, especially in New York, you make a couple of errors early and you start pressing a little bit. I've got to relax. I've thrown so many balls over to first base, I can probably do it blindfolded.
next playoffs
The next thing I'd like to experience, ... is the playoffs in New York.
football good horrible last season sitting year
Last year we started off pretty horrible and this year we're off to a good start. If this was a football season we'd be sitting pretty right now, but in baseball, we have a long way to go.
