Dennis Wilson
Dennis Carl Wilsonwas an American musician, singer, and songwriter who co-founded the Beach Boys. He is best remembered as their drummer and as the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson. Dennis was the only true surfer in the Beach Boys, and his personal life exemplified the "California Myth" that the band's early songs often celebrated. He was also known for his brief association with then-aspiring songwriter Charles Manson, who was later convicted of murder conspiracy...

Loneliness is a very special place, Silently silently you touch my face
Everything that I am or will ever be is in the music. If you want to know me, just listen.
I made a dollar a day sweeping a laundry out. Then we made a record that was number two in Los Angeles. We got so excited hearing it on the radio that Carl threw up.
On the beach, you can live in bliss.
I think it's fantastic. It was so wonderful to see all the friends and family out here to support us. We want to find Christie and we want justice served.
The one thing that kept our family together was the music. The only thing that our family would share emotionally was to have our dad cry over something the kids did with music.
They say I live a fast life. Maybe I just like a fast life. I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. It won't last forever, either. But the memories will.
Brian was the oldest, I was in the middle and Carl was the baby. I was the troublemaker. Brian got great grades and Carl got the kind of grades I did. I failed everything. I was too busy fighting and running wild.
I can tell you the day The Beach Boys will no longer exist - never. We'll be on stage in wheelchairs.
The greatest success in life is to feel I’m something for someone; the feeling of falling in love, the newness of love.
My mom had to beg the guys to let me play. I couldn't even play the drums right - Brian had to show me.
All I need is a big surfboard and a piano.
Because of the attitude of a few mental dinosaurs intent on exploiting our initial success, Brian's huge talent has never been fully appreciated in America and the potential of the group has been stifled.... If the Beatles had suffered this kind of misrepresentation, they would have never got past singing 'Please Please Me' and 'I WannaHold Your Hand' and leaping around in Beatle suits.
If there wasn't The Beach Boys and there wasn't music, I wouldn't even talk to them. But through the music I fell in love with my brothers.
