Player-wise, we just try to make it another game. But it?s kind of hard to do that when you have the electricity at the stadiums. The fans play a huge part in setting the tone for the series.
I think if he plays (in the WBC), he's healthy, he feels good in terms of condition-wise and physically, I think he'll play.
I thought he would try to get ahead with a fastball. I was just trying to hit the ball hard.
It all starts with pitching. This offense got so much publicity early on, but you're going to win if you pitch. We've got a lot of guys who know how to pitch.
We need to play well. We have to go out there and continue to play with the intensity we have and hopefully it will be good enough.
You have to enjoy that situation. You can't be afraid of failing. You have confidence if you've had success in the past. I've done it before, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be successful again.
We were lucky. It was a wake-up call for a lot of people.
Names don't win games. We have to go out and swing the bats more. You don't want to fall behind this club because their bullpen is pretty good.
Look at all the Yankee greats over the years. You figure at least one of them would win one.
The Angels are playing as well as any team in baseball. I think it's what people are expecting for it to come down to, the Yankees and Red Sox, but we have our work cut out for both of us.
That's the thing with the postseason. Who cares if you struggle before that? ... You just have to keep that in mind.
I was thinking triple all the way. It's good, too, because it usually takes a triple to score Jorge.
It doesn't matter, ... Every situation is a new situation.
It doesn't make a difference who we play. It won't be a problem for people to get up for the games. We have 20 games left. Everyone knows what's at stake.
