I would dearly love to see Oceana continue as a Master Jet Base, but the decision in terms of where BRAC continues on is not one that involves me. I really would like to hold off on any assessment of what's transpiring there in terms of encroachment or remediation activities. But I do recognize that this is a master jet base, and we don't have many of them. It's very critical that we have adequate master jet base capabilities to ensure we can continue both training and operational support activities.

Obviously this is an extremely important fleet concentration area for us. I've just got to get a better understanding of what's going on here and understand what the issues are and make sure I'm in the proper position to take the actions needed.
