carol instincts knows overdo played required time trip worked
Carol just has those instincts that let you find a character. The first time I worked with her was in A Trip to Bountiful. She played Jessie Mae, and she was perfect. She knows what is required in a role, and she doesn't overdo it.
audience brings changing collection felt few help life magazine needed picked reality showing time
I felt we needed something to help the audience keep up with the changing time periods. I had a collection of slides from Life magazine and picked a few out. I think it brings a reality to the play, showing what the world was like outside.
