...the ending's gonna be great. That's what I'm convinced of.
Everyone in town and the whole team knows what's at stake.
It's a good experience for your confidence, especially for Michael, to feel like you're an All-Star. D-Lee's been an All-Star. When you're on a team like that with other stars, that builds your confidence. 'Hey, man, I'm a star.' I think it's better for Michael in that situation confidence-wise and psychologically than D-Lee.
He's working his butt off trying to get back. He always works. He's trying to get back and help us. I'm sure it's eating him up not to be out there.
Probably not. Once you hurt something badly, you know how to pace yourself. Is that helping his cause? You don't know. He really hasn't had a situation yet where he has had the need to go full-out.
I talked to him. He's tired of it, too. You could tell he was a little distraught about the whole thing. He wants to pitch. He wants to pitch with nothing wrong.
He can wait 'til Monday. The Padres are the team he's had his most success against.
Our guys are busting it every day. We're not getting it done.
Stealing isn't just speed. Most of it is knowing the pitcher and knowing what a guy does. He might dip his head before he goes to the plate or he might drop his hands slightly before he goes to the plate or his feet are narrow when he goes to first or he might slide-step.
He's going to play now because we're out of outfielders. This is an opportunity to salvage the season.
Just a sad day on the pitching side.
He wanted to play. He didn't want to be out too long because then you lose your stroke.
He threw a ton of pitches. He threw a lot of near strikes, and he wasn't sharp. We thought that was the time to get him out of there.
He was feeling kind of tired all day. He's pitched a lot of innings.
