Edward Palmer Thompson, usually cited as E. P. Thompson, was a British historian, writer, socialist and peace campaigner. He is probably best known today for his historical work on the British radical movements in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, in particular The Making of the English Working Class. I wanted to get the guys used to the road environment and not let it affect the way we play. Our conference is tough, and in order to do well, you have to play well on the road.
That's what the state tournament is all about. Every team there is a good team. It wasn't necessarily a matter of what we didn't do, but what they did. But we didn't make adjustments. We had a good season though. I'm proud of the team.
The kids knew--the three oldest didn't really say anything the whole ride home, and the two youngest didn't really understand.
Incremental change could be a positive thing but that doesn't mean he's not going to push for the initiative.
