Edward Richard DeChellisis an American college basketball coach and current head men's basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy. Previously he was the head coach at Penn State from 2003-2011 and at East Tennessee State from 1996-2003. At Penn State, DeChellis led the Nittany Lions to an NIT Title in 2009 and a NCAA Tournament berth in 2011. I'm not done playing. I know our kids aren't. I just hope we get an opportunity to continue to play.

They beat us from start to finish. It was a great performance shooting the basketball. I've never seen a team shoot the ball they way they shot it. It just wasn't one guy, it was everybody.
bad couple felt kept thinking
I never really felt bad for some reason. I kept thinking we were only a couple of baskets away from making this thing interesting.

I think guys feed off of that. When he's having success, and he's playing well, I think he's even more vocal.

I think we've come a long way. I think we've really improved. I think the kids played pretty well down the stretch.

Our freshmen will be stronger, tougher, better, our sophomores will become juniors. We'll have some guys who have been through the wars.

Our team chemistry is pretty good. They really like each other and enjoy playing with one another ... which we really haven't had the last couple of years.

No disrespect, but North Dakota State went in there with a pretty good game plan, followed their game plan, challenged some shots -- they went in there and they were able to win. It's not impossible; a team just did it two days ago.

No one thought we could win except the 12 guys we have and three coaches. There was more pressure on their side.
foul given good kept kids level limited stuff trouble
It's been good for us, kept us out of foul trouble, limited some other people's stuff with what they've been able to do in the post. It's given our kids a level of confidence.

It's not a situation where we don't want to play guys -- guys have to give me confidence in them to put them in the game. I'm not a guy that can jump in there, wave a wand and say, 'OK, I give you confidence.' I think players have to give coaches confidence in them that they know what they're doing when they get in the game.
either energy gonna guy pop
It all comes back to the energy and the pop you have. Either you're gonna find the guy or you're not.
athletic guys notice until watch
He's one of those guys that you don't really notice until you watch them. He's 6-foot-5 and as athletic as they come.
defensive guys offense problems
It was just a struggle. Our problems on offense transferred to the defensive end and our guys got pretty frustrated.
