Edward Richard DeChellisis an American college basketball coach and current head men's basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy. Previously he was the head coach at Penn State from 2003-2011 and at East Tennessee State from 1996-2003. There was no pressure on us; we're just coming down and playing. No one thought we could win, other than the 12 guys we've got and three or four coaches. There were 16 thousand people who thought Illinois would win.

I didn't want them to have that little breathing room. I wanted to try to keep this close as we possibly can.

You can only do so much in one practice. You have an hour-and-a-half practice to put as much as you possibly can in.

Last year, they knew exactly what they were doing. This year, this guy's starting, that guy's starting, probably because that's just the way it is. They're trying to find the right mixture.

I talked to the team about building on the Indiana win. We didn't do that (after) the Illinois win. I tried to get them to under one win can lead to another win, and we'll work hard Monday to understand that this win could lead to another win.

This is very important for our confidence. We've been playing well, just not able to win, but we finally did and it should be a little easier to get them to practice on Monday.

It's crunch time, you've gotta find a way to make that play. We have not been the kind of team so far -- so far -- that can find a way to make that play.

I think that's the most disappointing thing to me is we had an opportunity and we didn't take advantage of our opportunity. Hopefully, we'll grow up and understand that only so many opportunities come around ... and you've got to be ready to grasp the opportunity and take it and move on.
