focused guys knows means playoffs shot step time types veteran year
I think this is the time of year for a veteran to step up -- guys who have been in the playoffs like he has, guys who are dedicated. So he's focused in more, and he knows that each shot means a whole lot now. It's that time of the year for those types of guys.
confidence feels good healthy knows question rotation rough
He has had a rough year, no question about it. But he knows that he's in the rotation now, and he feels good about his game. I think he's as healthy as he's been all year, and he knows we have confidence in him.
knows leader showing time winning
It's winning time for him. It's time to make a move. He knows it. We all know it. I think he's just going out there and being a leader for us, showing us this is how to get it done.
crunch difference guy knows maker ready winning
He (Arenas) knows this is winning time. Gil knows that he's the guy that can be the difference maker and always ready for crunch time.
bad basketball confidence floor good knowing knows seeing teammates
He's got a good feel now about seeing the floor and knowing where his teammates are. And he's got a lot more confidence in his teammates. He knows it's bad basketball to try to go one-on-three.
attacks best bit early help home knows players
I think he may be more aggressive. He's a little bit different at home - he attacks early and often. But he knows that the best players help their teammates, and that's what he's been doing.
bulls dribble game good job knew plan run stay team though type wings
Even though we were up 20 at halftime, we knew the Bulls would make a run at us. That is the type of team they are. They are a disciplined, well-coached team. Our game plan was to get up in the wings and stay with the dribble penetration, and we did a good job with that.
cared defensive direction guys huge minutes says shoot starting takes tonight win
It says a lot about the direction we're going in, with the new starting lineup a huge, huge defensive emphasis. Some guys didn't play as many minutes tonight as normal, but we really cared about doing the things that it takes to win and not about what's going to shoot up in the stat sheet.
controlled lunatics reason
If the lunatics can be controlled I would have every reason to come back and look at F1.
control doubt game hell hurts terrific
He's a terrific player. He hurts you from the three. He hurts you from the post. We wanted to see if he could control the game one-on-one. He's very focused. He's a hell of a player, no doubt about it.
collective games momentum riding three wave
It was a collective effort, and we're just riding the momentum that we started three games ago. Everyone has responded from three games ago, and we're just riding the wave right now.
catch kept momentum played quarter third
I thought we played okay, but they stole the momentum right from the third quarter and just kept it going and we couldn't catch up to them.
conference credit deserving eastern entire excited grateful helped phenomenal playoff proud recognized represent throughout true
I'm proud to have Gilbert represent us at the All-Star Game. Gilbert has been phenomenal for us throughout the season, and his play has helped put us in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. He is very deserving of this honor, and I think it's a credit to our entire team. We're all very excited and grateful that commissioner Stern recognized Gilbert as one of basketball's true stars.
emerged fighting leader leads major paint score stretch team verbal wants win
He wants to win - that is his No. 1 priority. He is a leader for this team in a different way. He is not loud, verbal or demonstrative, but he leads by gutting it out and fighting for rebounds. He can score from the outside, in the paint and on runners. He has emerged as a major leader for us during this stretch of games.
