competing favorite forward sit tough year
It's going to be a tough one to sit out. This is one of my favorite tournaments of the year and one I really look forward to competing in.
although coming five four good love obviously
It's good to be back. I obviously love this course, although I haven't been coming here for four or five years now. But this place is good karma.
good hard level next positively tough
It was a good finish, and I have to look at that positively going into next week. However, it was a tough day. I got off to an iffy start, but battled hard to get back to level at the end of the day.
shoot sneak weekend
I've just got to try and sneak something into the 60s over the weekend and see what happens. At least I know you don't have to try and shoot 65 to win.
couple forward good looking winning
I've had a couple of really good (Masters) finishes, so I know what it takes. And definitely, I have the game. Yeah, I'm still looking forward to winning that tournament.
course played playing
I've had some top-10s, so I've played well here, but it's a course that I feel I can keep playing well,
almost close couple good
I've had so many good tournaments here through the years, and a couple of close calls. I've done almost everything but win.
certain couple forward gone last next positions sustained
I've got myself in certain positions already, the last couple of weeks, the last month. But I just, for some reason, haven't sustained it or haven't gone forward on to the next little stage.
celebrate character great incredible influence lived
It's very upsetting, obviously, but at the same time, we all want to celebrate his incredible life, which he really lived to the full, ... He was a great character and a big influence on all of us.
aim course
It's really unbelievable. It's the only course we play that you have to aim away from the holes.
ali beat boxer came fighting holmes hope larry muhammad watching
As a 15-year-old, you think a 46-year-old is too old to win. It kind of was like watching an old boxer like Muhammad Ali fighting Larry Holmes and you hope he's going to beat the guy, but you think he's going to get the (stuffing) beat out of him. You're thinking, 'I hope he wins, but I don't think he's going to do it.' And then he came out with the goods. It was unbelievable.
concern helped hit talking tiger trying
Exactly. That's where Jos really helped me a lot. I've got to hit my shots. I have to play my game. We weren't even talking about Tiger ever -- or any other player, for that matter. Jos was just trying to brainwash me and get me to go from A to B. And that's all I must concern myself about.
bad gotten habits hard knee obviously protect trying work
The knee has been very good. I've obviously had to really work hard on little bad habits I got into because of trying to protect the knee a little bit. I think I've gotten over that.
bring course greens plan shots time
Their plan is to bring the course back to where they used to play the shots into the greens in the '60s and '70s. We've just got to give it time and see where it goes.
