course gets golf great keeps playing present quality runs year
He just makes this place better every year. The golf course keeps improving, the quality of the way they present the golf course gets better all the time, and I think this year is no different. It's just great playing on a golf course like this. He runs a great show.
almost goes masters
He just goes out and goes about his business. So I think Phil, almost more than Tiger, has got more Masters in him, maybe.
call feels knows needs
He knows his swing. If he really feels he needs Butch, he'll probably call him.
coming field saw scoring stage tiger
Freddie was coming on then, and I saw Tiger was coming on then, and the whole field was kind of scoring at that stage and I was kind of stalling, ... It was getting to me a little bit.
average ball body change club dig feet good lower middle sand selection sitting slightly stable swing
From a good lie in the middle of a fairway bunker, I'll make the same swing as I do from an average fairway lie. I'll dig my feet in slightly and keep my lower body stable so I won't slip, but I don't change my club selection or setup. It's only when the ball is sitting down in the sand that I'll make some modifications.
downward hitting promote
With shorter clubs, your ball position should be just back of middle, to really promote hitting the ball first on a downward strike.
bad beautiful black check easing further good hands mandela nelson
You have to go back, man. You have to. It's now in the hands of the black man, as it should have been before Nelson Mandela was put in jail. We'd be so much further along. You're from Chicago, so you know the really good things and the really bad things about Chicago. Johannesburg is a big city, too, and it still has a big city's crime, but less. Less. It's easing off. It's better. If you really know Johannesburg, it's a beautiful place. You have to come check out the change.
athletic club good posture
When I stay athletic with good posture and get the club away in a good position, I get through it better.
areas certain clubs coming days experience field four hit longer narrow
Experience is going to be big, even more than it used to be, because you're coming in with longer clubs and you've got to hit certain areas more than you used to. Over four days it's going to narrow the field dramatically.
bit chipping feet fit hopefully moment possible putting stay
At the moment I have to stay off my feet as much as possible but hopefully I'll be fit enough to do a bit of chipping and putting soon.
couple great
Up to now, I've had a great career. A couple of putts here and there, it could have been a lot better.
final majors round taking
There have been so many majors that got away, starting at Riviera in '95, taking a three-shot lead into the final round of the PGA and not winning.
action although bad dwelling face focusing good longer obviously point quickly time timing
Obviously the timing is unfortunate. Although let's face it, there's no such thing as a good time to get injured. But what can you do? There's no point dwelling on your bad luck, or whatever. All I'm doing is focusing on getting better as quickly as possible, so I'm out of action for not a day longer than I have to be.
