brought came everybody took
We came out kind of flat. We brought in Carlos, and he got us back in the game, took over the game, and everybody else finished.
ability build coach comments confidence somebody
Those I take as being comments from a young coach who has never been in that situation. I've never been a coach who downgrades what somebody else is doing to build myself up. I have enough confidence in my own ability to where I feel like I can just go out and show what I can do.
bad good looked playing shows team
To have 36 assists on 43 baskets shows that we are playing team basketball. We aren't as good as we looked tonight, and we aren't as bad as we looked in Dallas.
means missing open shoot
When you shoot 35 percent, that means you're missing some open shots. But they also had something to do with it.
bench range start starters
We'd like to start getting our bench in that 70- to 80-minute range to give our starters some rest.
kids mix players veteran
We'd like to mix our young kids with our veteran players if we can, to have them play with our veterans. But every night, we still want to go out and win.
guys tough toughest
We were all guards. And it makes it tough to get all those guys a lot of minutes. That's always the toughest thing.
slow throwing
We were a half-second slow and they were throwing it up there.
game knew ourselves shake
We were able to put ourselves back in the game in the first half. We just could not shake them. ... You knew it was going to be a game that went down to the wire.
sharp
We want to keep sharp and not be hurt, but still be competitive and have opportunities to win. We'll pretty much play the same way.
amaze ceases challenged game heads stepped team
We didn't have our heads in the game in the first half. But this team never ceases to amaze me. They were challenged and they stepped up.
bench chase extended focus guys health minutes ready rest staying
We're not going to chase that record, but if it comes, it comes. Our focus right now is health and staying sharp. We're going to rest some guys and give our bench extended minutes to get them ready for the playoffs.
We sense what's coming. We know what's going to come here in two weeks.
games grind mental win
This season, as much as anything, has been a grind. When you win 63 games and how you've played, it's as much as mental grind as it is physical.
