climb course days decide good last looks similar time trial
The course looks similar to last year. The time trial day (on Thursday), and I'm good at time trials, and then the climb on Saturday, those two days will decide the race. I should be OK.
Lance is more relaxed. But it's a long race.
race sleep strategy work
I'm going to sleep first. And then I will work on a strategy and a preparation for the big race in July.
bit case last looked prologue seven strength strong time win
I haven't done any reconnaissance like the Tour, but I looked at the maps...Anyway, it is a case that if you're strong enough in the mountains, you can win the Vuelta. If not, you get dropped! But the last two are better for me.
bit california early good jersey knew legs race team tour utmost victory
I knew I had good legs after my victory in the Tour of California but to take the jersey so early in the race comes as a bit of a surprise. I will do my utmost to keep the jersey now for it is very important for the team and the sponsor.
bit expected forward front guys
I didn't know what other riders' times were, so at the end I was a little bit surprised. But the guys at the front were the guys I expected to be at the front, so we'll go forward from here.
real hate kids
Look, at some point, people have to tell their kids that Santa Claus isn't real. I hate to be the guy to do it, but it's just not real.
