We didn't want Carolina to get into a rhythm. We played a lot of zone, but we played some man. We switched defenses as much as we could.

We had a couple of plays down the stretch that we botched up that could've given us a better chance. But I can't fault our guys' effort, how they competed.

We didn't get his name in the book on Senior Day. He didn't start, and it really bothered me. I wanted to make sure he had a chance to start.

We're above.500 (in the ACC) at the halfway point and you have to be pleased with that. But we have to understand that we're a long way from where we want to be.

We just kept going to him. He made plays. He had a couple plays where he got in the paint, and he was able to finish and take a hit.

We're not mentally tough enough to finish games right now, and that's the problem. Their players ... stepped up when the game was on the line. That's the bottom line.

We're not totally out of it. Obviously we need to win (today) and we need to go into the (ACC) tournament and win one and, maybe, two games. As much as (FSU is) playing for something, we have to understand we're playing for something, too.

We're getting better. There's no question about that. They're starting to feel good about what they're doing.

We did do a good job of breaking them down. They're so aggressive on the ball we felt like that was something we could do.
