gone helped played
McNamara would've helped them, but I don't know how much he would've helped them. I can't say because he was gone that we were better, because they played like a team.
helped played
McNamara would have helped them, but I don't know how much. They played like a team.
five focus four intentions next
My intentions are to focus on the next four or five games.
action chance next plan year
The plan is in action. First year I wanted to get to .500. The next year a NIT berth. This year we have a chance at 17 or 18 wins. The plan is in action.
great happened home stranger surprised venue
I was surprised by the seeding and not getting a home game. But, hey, stranger things have happened to me this year. I'm disappointed because we have a great venue at Rutgers.
goals madison square
One of our goals was to get to Madison Square Garden. Our goals have not changed.
credit game hard missing played point three trying
There's nothing to say. We played a game where we were down three starters. I give Quincy credit for trying to fight, but when you're missing your third- and fourth-leading scorers, it's hard to play like that. There was a point where we had three walk-ons on the court. It just makes it hard.
cleaned feelings forgive hard move stay
The stay here was good. We cleaned up the program. I want to move on. I have no hard feelings. I forgive but never forget.
basketball credit entire putting throughout
The thing I give Quincy credit for, throughout the entire ordeal, is that Quincy never wavered. Quincy wanted to be here, because there are other things here for him, putting basketball aside.
beat forced goal guys hit shots time tough
Quincy went 5-for-20 and they forced that 5-for-20. Many times, he got mid-range shots but he had a tough time lofting it over their heads. Their goal was to take Quincy, make Quincy not beat them. Make the other guys beat them. And our other guys couldn't hit the shots today.
fabulous kept
Quincy was fabulous in the first half. He kept us in there.
definitely east eyes incentive madison square wrong
Quincy wanted to be there (in the Big East Tournament). In Quincy's eyes there definitely would've been something wrong (if he didn't) go to Madison Square Garden. I thought it was an incentive to him.
advice best decision future jack knows learn loyal millions offer people wait wants worry
Quincy is a loyal person and that's what people don't realize. That's why he's been with Jack so long. The thing Quincy knows is he still has a lot to learn and he wants to graduate. If someone is going to offer him millions upon millions, I have to be honest. I'll give him the best advice of what his future will be if he makes that decision (but) we'll wait because I don't want him to worry about this now.
guys happen needed understand won
Quincy called one and I told them we only had one and told them we needed one at the end. But those things happen I understand and we had no timeouts. I even told our guys if we had a time-out we would have won this game.
