It was a good ballgame that kept going back and forth. Our pressure wasn't consistent, but I was proud of the kids.

Our (j.v.) went 17-3, so I've got some nice players coming in. I feel good about the future.

(Whiteside) was on the varsity last year, but didn't get to play much with our four seniors. He's waited his turn and is having a heck of a year, averaging about 16 points and 9.6 rebounds.

We're starting to click. We've been playing a lot of 1-2-2, just a flat-iron zone, and we're forcing teams to shoot it from the outside. We're trying to eliminate all of their penetration and that's what's happened the last (few games). I think we're going to be OK.

We're a work in progress. We could be 6-1 or 0-7 right now, but we're coming, and we're going to get better as the year goes on.
